Getting around in the city is best done by rental car or taxi.

In the 1900s iron was discovered driving a small boom in industrialization. By 1918, the first resorts and hotels were popping up and the wealthy jet-set of the time flocked to the beaches. Spain went through some troubled times in the middle of the 20th century and Marbella went through a period of decline.  Today though, you would never know as it is a thriving and popular destination.
